It’s all change again tomorrow, as the carriageway works continue in Ventnor.
Over the past week we’ve seen the resurfacing of Dudley Road Albert Street and Pier Street and both are looking excellent and certainly dreamy to drive on.
From 9am on Wednesday 18th May, the High Street, from Church Street to Victoria Street will be closed to traffic. This also means the Central car park will be closed and the buses will be diverted.
Good work so far
We’ve been impressed with the speed and quality of the work, the large team working on the resurfacing have clearly been working hard to complete the works on time.
The work are due to be completed by 24th May in are taking place in preparation of the Criterium cycling race that will take place around the town centre on 26 June as part of the NatWest Island Games.
Diversion
The one way restrictions in A3055 High Street will be closed between Pier Street and Victoria Street and in Market Street (from Pound Lane to High Street) will be temporarily suspended to allow access.
Access to businesses and premises will maintained as far as possible during the works.
DIVERSION ROUTE: A3055 High Street, Trinity Road, B3327 St Boniface Road, Mitchell Avenue and Ocean View Road, Gills Cliff Road, Castle Road and Zig Zag Road, A3055 Alpine Road and Church Street.
