Cowes Sailability Club Shortlisted For Jubilee People’s Millions

If you want to help an Island charity that provides fantastic opportunities for Islanders with disabilities, please put 27th June in your diary.

Cowes Sailability Club, which promotes and facilitates water sports for Island people with disabilities, has been short-listed for the Jubilee People’s Millions.

The Club, which is managed by fully trained volunteers and offers a variety of sailing and motor boating opportunities throughout the season is looking for £27,296 of funding for a new Longboat.

The new Longboat will provide hands on training for members looking for that degree of involvement. The sailing is predominately recreational and provides lots of social interaction and more importantly pleasure. The practical side of sailing is supported by classroom instruction and social events during the winter months.

Vote on 27th June
On Monday 27th June make sure you tune into the Meridian West regional news programme from 6pm.

Look out for the feature which has Cowes Sailability up against K.D.Can!

A phone number will be announced on the day (check the website) for you to ring and vote for your preferred charity.

Spread the word to help this Island charity
Please spread the word and tell all your family and friends about the programme and ask them to vote for this very worthy cause.

Votes from the same number can be placed up to 10 times (cost 11p per call from a landline phone, mobile calls will be more expensive), so if your friends or family are unable to see the programme, just pass on the number.

All those who volunteer at the charity will be immensely grateful, as will the users.
