News reaches us that Chief Financial Officer and Deputy CEO, Henrik Nørremark resigned from wind turbine manufacturer, Vestas, yesterday.
He’s been with company since 1993 in various roles, although it’s reported that last month we was appointed to become chief operating officer, a new executive role overseeing Vestas’ key manufacturing operations.
However, Reuters report that “after presenting a thorough briefing to the Board of Directors yesterday on the conditions which during the last months have led to profit warnings, he resigned from the company.”
In addition, Vestas confirm that Bent Erik Carlsen (Chairman), Torsten Erik Rasmussen (Deputy Chairman) and Freddy Frandsen will not stand for re-election for the Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting on 29 March 2012.
Let’s hope the high level changes won’t affect the future of the R&D centre on the Isle of Wight that provides highly skilled employment for many Islanders.
