Niton phonebox gets Christmas cheer

Some of the jolly souls in Niton have made the experience of using the village’s BT payphone all the more bearable – by decking it with Christmas decorations!

Not only are phone users greeted with a Ho, ho ho! on the door as they enter, but once inside they’re met with a abundance of the season’s cheer.

The halls are most definitely decked
Red and silver tinsel surrounds the phone, a set of eight bright red baubles hang on the noticeboard inside.

It wouldn’t be Christmas with out a tree, would it? And blow me, if the mystery decorators haven’t even thought of that. There, on the phone box’s shelf is its own little Christmas!

Brilliant!
We love it when people of the community act under their own steam and make people’s lives a brighter place.

Well done to all involved and many thanks to Irene Craig who tipped us on this and many thanks to Alex Welsford who took the photos above.
