Church Road will be closed from 6.30am until 6pm on approximately 10 days between Monday 11 April and Friday 27 May 2016. Arnold Road will be closed from 6.30am until 6pm on approximately 5 to 10 days between Friday 6 May and Friday 17 June 2016. BONCHURCH:
Balaambs Passage footpath will be closed from 8.30pm on Friday 8 January until 8.30pm on Friday 29 July 2016 between Bonchurch Village Road and The Pitts. The route for pedestrians will be: Bonchurch Village Road, Bonchurch Shute and The Pitts. The road closure is required until retaining wall repair works have been undertaken.
BRIGHSTONE:
Limerstone Road (between Windymere and Limerstone Cottage) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on Monday 16 May 2016 for the replacement of a telephone pole by British Telecom. Traffic delays are likely.
Chilton Lane will be closed on one day between Friday 13 May and Tuesday 17 May 2016, from 9am until 4pm between Main Road and Hoxall Lane. The road closure is for carriageway repairs by Island roads
BROOK:
Brook Shute / Brook Road will be closed from 6.30am until 6pm on approximately 5 to 10 days between Monday 11 April and Friday 20 May 2016. The closure is from Brook Village Road to Freshwater Road for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, and drainage works by Island Roads. CALBOURNE:
Calbourne Road (opposite Little Shillings) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am on Monday 16 May until Wednesday 18 May 2016 for the cable works by British Telecom. Traffic delays are likely.
Freshwater Road (outside Lodge Farm). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am until 4pm on each day between Wednesday 18 May and Friday 20 May 2016 for safety barrier works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
CARISBROOKE:
Purdy Road (on bend at junction with Fieldfare Road) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on each day between Monday 23 May and Wednesday 25 May 2016 for carriageway cover works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Calbourne Road (junction with Rowridge Lane) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9.30am until 3.30pm on Tuesday 16 May 2016 for cable works by British Telecom. Traffic delays are likely.
COWES:
Ronson Close will be closed from 9am on Monday 25 April until 4pm on Friday 20 May for the installation of a new water main by Clancy Docwra for Southern Water. The closure is from Love lane to the end of the highway.
Mill Hill Road (junction with Gordon Road) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am until 4pm on Wednesday 11 May, Thursday 12 May and Friday 13 May 2016 for highway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
EAST COWES:
Esplanade will be closed from 2.30pm on Friday 25 April 2014 for the foreseeable future between 375 metres to the northeast of Cambridge Road and the end of the highway 860 metres to the northeast of Cambridge Road. There is no alternative route for traffic. This closure is necessary to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road due to a landslip.
Beatrice Avenue will be closed from 6.30am until 6pm on approximately 5 to 10 days between Friday 22 April and Friday 3 June 2016. The closure is from Harvey Close and Victoria Grove for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, and drainage works by Island Roads. FRESHWATER:
Middleton will be closed from 9am on Tuesday 17 May until 4pm on Thursday 19 May 2016 between Court Road and Bedbury Lane. The closure is required for the installation of a new water service connection outside Sheepwash Farmhouse.
A3055 School Green Road (outside 140). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am until 4pm on one day between Wednesday 18 and Friday 20 May 2016 for highway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Afton Road (outside Co-op Store) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from Monday 23 May 2016 until approx. Friday 27 May 2016 for the construction of a manhole chamber by British Telecom. Traffic delays are likely.
GODSHILL:
School Road / High Street will be closed from 7.30pm until 6am on approximately 5 to 10 nights between Friday 6 May and Friday 17 June 2016. The closure is from Hollow Lane to West Street for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, and drainage works by Island Roads. LAKE:
Ranalagh Road / Cliff Road / Cliff Path. From 1200hrs on Friday 18 July 2014 for the foreseeable future the following roads / path will be closed to vehicular traffic:
Cliff Road / Cliff Path will be closed from point 55 metres to the northwest of the junction with Ranalagh Road to point 185 metres to the south west of the junction with Cliff Gardens (the southern boundary of number 6). Ranalagh Road will also be closed from Cliff Road to a point 10 metres to the west of Cliff Road. During the period of closure there is no alternative route for vehicles. The closure is required due to erosion. Pedestrian access will be maintained as usual.
LIMERSTONE / SHORWELL:
Limerstone Road (various locations from Short Lane, Limerstone to 900 metres towards Shorwell) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation at times between 8am and 5pm on Wednesday 18 May 2016 for highway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
NEWCHURCH:
The Shute (outside 3 The Square) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 8am on Tuesday 31 May until 4pm on Friday 3 June 2016 for the installation of a gas service connection by Southern Gas Networks.
Winford Road will be closed on one evening between Friday 13 May and Tuesday 17 May 2016, between Watery Lane and Harbors Lake Lane. The road closure is for carriageway repairs by Island Roads.
NEWPORT:
Drill Hall Road (between car park and High Street). Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am until 4pm on each day between Tuesday 31 May and Thursday 2 June 2016 for carriageway repair works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
East Street / South Street will be closed from 7.30pm until 6am on approximately 5 to 10 nights between Friday 13 May and Friday 3 June 2016. The closure is from Coppins Bridge to Church Litten for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, and drainage works by Island Roads. RYDE:
Binstead Hill (outside Pitts View) Temporary Lane closures will be in operation from 7.30pm until 11pm on the evenings of Wednesday 18 May, Thursday 19 May and Friday 20 May 2016 for highway works by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Union Road will be closed from 8am on Tuesday 17 May until 4.30pm on Friday 20 May 2016, between Cross Street and Castle Street. The one way restriction in Castle Street from Union Road to George Street will be temporarily suspended to allow access during the closure. The road closure is for the installation of a new gas service connection outside 47A by Southern Gas Networks.
High Street will be closed from 9am on Monday 16 May until 4pm on Wednesday 18 May 2016, between St Johns Road and Hill Street. The road closure is for the installation of a new water service connection outside 106 by Clancy Docwra for Southern Water. The one way restriction will be temporarily suspended to allow access.
Binstead Road / Queens Road will be closed from 7.30pm until 6am on approximately 5 to 10 nights between Friday 29 April and Friday 10 June 2016. The closure is between Ringwood Road and West Street for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, and drainage works by Island Roads. Argyll Street will be closed on one evening between Friday 13 May and Tuesday 17 May 2016, from 8.30pm until 11pm between Pellhurst Road and West Street. The road closure is to replace a manhole cover in the centre of the carriageway.
SHANKLIN:
Cliff Path will be closed from 9.30am on Monday 20 January 2014 for the foreseeable future to pedestrians from Skew Bridge Path to Winchester House Car Park. The closure is required due to erosion/ land movement. During the period of closure the alternative route for pedestrians will be; Skew Bridge Path, A3055 Sandown Road and Winchester House Car Park.
Green Lane (opp 78) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from 9am on Monday 6 June until 4.30pm on Tuesday 14 June 2016 for the installation of a gas service connection by Southern Gas Networks.
Orchardleigh Road will be closed from 8am on Wednesday 18 May until 4.30pm on Friday 20 May 2016 between High Street and St Johns Road. The road closure is for the installation of a new gas service connection outside 17A by Southern Gas Networks.
ST LAWRENCE:
A3055 Undercliff Drive will remain closed from St Catherine’s Road to Seven Sisters Road (Western Junction), between Barrington Lodge, near to the western junction with Seven Sisters Road and Mirables which is located about a mile towards Niton. Following significant ground movement in the area in early February 2014, Undercliff Drive has been physically closed between Mirables (in the west) and a point 560 metres to the West of Seven Sisters Road (in the east) for safety reasons. There is now no access for vehicles or pedestrians. A formal road and footpath closure will be in operation for the foreseeable future. Access to businesses and attractions in Undercliff Drive will be maintained. During the period of closure the alternative route for traffic will be; Pedestrians; A3055 Undercliff Drive, Public Footpath V81, V77, NT28, NT29, NT30 and A3055 Undercliff Drive. Cyclists and Equestrians; A3055 Undercliff Drive, Seven Sisters Road, St Lawrence Shute, Whitwell Road, Ventnor Road, High Street (Whitwell), Kemming Road, Chatfield Road, Rectory Road, High Street (Niton), Institute Hill, Barrack Shute and A3055 Undercliff Drive.
Old Park Road will be closed on one day between Tuesday 17 May and Thursday 19 May 2016, from 9am until 4pm between Undercliff Drive and Woolverton Road. The road closure is for carriageway repairs by Island Roads.
Woolverton Road will be closed on one day between Tuesday 17 May and Thursday 19 May 2016, from 9am until 4pm between Undercliff Drive to its junction with Old Park Road. The road closure is for carriageway repairs by Island Roads.
VENTNOR:
Longdown Steps Public Footpath V102 will be closed from 10am on Monday 12 May 2014 for the foreseeable future between South Street and St Catherine’s Street. This closure is necessary to avoid danger to persons using the footpath until wall repair works have been undertaken The diversion route for pedestrians will be; South Street, West Street, High Street, Victoria Street, Wheelers Bay Road and St Catherine’s Street.
Castle Road (between Zig Zag Road and Gills Cliff Road) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation from Tuesday 30 December 2014 until approx. August 2016 until retaining wall works have been completed by Island Roads. Traffic delays will occur.
Leeson Road will be closed from 7.30pm until 6am on approximately 5 to 10 nights between Friday 13 May and Friday 3 June 2016. The closure is from St Boniface Road to Bonchurch Shute for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, and drainage works by Island Roads. Madeira Road will be closed on one day between Tuesday 17 May and Thursday 19 May 2016, from 9am until 4pm between Madeira Vale and Kings Bay Road. The road closure is for carriageway repairs by Island Roads.
Lowtherville Road will be closed for approx.5 days between Monday 16 May and Friday 27 May 2016, from 9am until 4pm on each day The closure is from Newport Road for its entire length. Vehicular access to premises and businesses will be maintained as far as possible. The road closure is for carriageway remedial repairs and resurfacing works by Island Roads.
VENTNOR TO SHANKLIN:
A3055 Bonchurch Road (various locations from the access road to Dunnose to a point 500 metres towards Shanklin) Temporary traffic control will be in operation from 9.30am until 4.30pm on Monday 16 May and Tuesday 17 May 2016 for tree cutting works by Groundsell Contracting.
WHIPPINGHAM:
Public Footpath N214 will be closed from Crematorium Road to Public Footpath N114 from 9am on Wednesday 5 August 2015 for the foreseeable future. The closure is required until urgent repair works have been undertaken to B171 Whippingham Cattle Creep. The alternative route for pedestrians is; Crematoriums Road, A3054 Lushington Hill, Racecourse and Fairlee Road.
Public Footpath N221 will be closed from Island Harbour to the Folly from Tuesday 26 April 2016 for the foreseeable future until repair works have been undertaken. The closure is required as the footpath is unsafe due to a landslip. The alternative route for pedestrians is; Mill Lane, Fairlee Road, East Cowes Road, Whippingham Road and Folly Lane.
WOOTTON:
A3054 Lushington Hill (junction with High Street / Palmers Road) Temporary traffic lights will be in operation (weather permitting) for approx. 4 to 5 hours between 9.30am and 4.30pm on Monday 16 May 2016 for carriageway remedial works by LCM Contractors for British Telecom. Traffic delays are likely.
