2023 Monkton Arts Prize celebrates the best in creative talent

Last weekend saw the awards ceremony for the 2023 Monkton Arts Prize take place in Ryde.

The First Prize of £1,000, sponsored by Monkton Arts and FOMA (Friends of Monkton Arts) went to Spike Homer for ‘Entre Chien Loup’.

Sponsored by Indigo Graphics, Barbara Gowan was awarded the Second Prize of £500 for hger work, ‘Machine Parts 1’.

Third Price, sponsored by FOMA, went to Jodie Redrup for ‘Shining Light on a Gloomy Day’. Jodei received £250 prize money.

The People’s Choice and winner of a bottle of Gin, sponsored by Isle of Wight Gin Company went to Judith Barton for ‘Kyiv Cloud’.

Monkton’s Choice went to:

  • Joshua Raffell for ‘Save the Curlews’
  • Heather Gray-Newton for ‘The Stairwell’
