The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for wind. Valid from 0500 to 2000 on Monday 14 September 2015.
They say
Westerly gales will start to affect the Isles of Scilly and the far south of Cornwall early on Monday morning, before moving further north and east across other parts of southwest England and southern coastal counties during the rest of the day, perhaps also running up the Bristol Channel to clip the far south of Wales.
Gusts of 45-55 mph are likely in some places, perhaps touching 60 to 65 mph across exposed coasts and hills.
Given that this is one of the first gales of the autumn, the public should be aware of the risk of localised disruption, possibly affecting travel and late holiday activities.
