Development company
The development is by a company called Feria Investments Limited. Based in Jersey, it was founded in January 1991, around 23 years ago.
OnTheWight left a message in an attempt to contact the company this morning, but as yet, we’ve not heard back from them.
How to mitigate against flooding
With all of the recent flooding across the south, we wanted to understand from the developers how they planned to mitigate against the fact the development would be within an area at risk of flooding.
Two other points of interest might be that it’s an area with ‘Protected and priority species’ and ‘Designated sites, important habitats or other biodiversity features’.
The planning form also reveals that it’s suspected that either some or all of the land is contaminated. Not that surprising given its industrial past.
Extensive amounts of further information can be found on the planning site
