Strings Bar and Venue has been nominated for Local Music Venue of the Year at the Portsmouth Music Awards.

The Portsmouth Music Awards is a new initiative built to celebrate and shine a light on those in the Portsmouth and south coast music scene with all PO postcodes considered.
The award nomination follows a number of accolades in 2024 including the Music Venue Trusts’ ‘Outstanding Contribution To Grassroots Music’ and a place at the final of the Live Awards for Grassroots Champion.
“We are in good company”
A spokesperson for Strings said,
“We are so grateful to be recognised as part of the Portsmouth Music Scene. With so many great music venues on the south coast we are in good company.”
Vote for Strings
Strings now need the support of the local community to help them be crowned as the Local Music Venue of the Year.
“The voting is now down to the public with the closing date being the end of February.
“We’d really appreciate it if those that have been to our venue over the last year could give us their vote”.
Those looking to vote can visit the Portsmouth Music Awards website.
Attend the final
The final is on Wednesday 9th April at the Portsmouth Guildhall, with tickets for the public being made available from today (Tuesday 11th February).
