The Medical Director says, "We have high numbers of patients who are not in need of hospital care, and we are asking the local community to help us with making sure that those patients get home or to the most appropriate care setting to support their ongoing needs as soon as possible"
The council leader said that "if our whole community was following the government's guidelines, then the number of cases would not be increasing at such a rate". He reminds residents to stay at home and avoid contact where possible
