A former war reporter filmed on the Isle of Wight for a C4 News feature about the so-called "poor, white ghetto" with a "mass of crime and drug problems" and inbreeding. You can watch it here.

During a TeachFirst conference in Leeds during July 2016 he described Isle of Wight as “a ghetto” with “inbreeding” and a “mass of crime, drug problems, huge unemployment”.
In the following week many called for his resignation.
