Jonathan Dodd returns with his Sunday column and this week shares his observations on the subject of music and celebrates the incredible classical talent we have right here on the Island.
The Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra perform every two months through the season between November – July.
Members of the orchestra are Islander, most of which have other jobs, that devote considerable amounts of their own time to a rigorous regime of rehearsals. They are joined at each performance by a guest soloist, from the global array of specialist performers.
OnTheWight: Proud supporters
OnTheWight has been an active supporter of the IWSO since 2010, over which time the audience for the performances has grown considerably. We take great pride in helping more Islanders experience the glory of a full orchestra, playing live on our Island.
