The Isle of Wight Council is advising members of the public to observe closure barriers on East Cowes Esplanade following the landslip in the area in late April.
Some residents who have been affected by the landslip at Undercliff Drive say they've not been given any detail or timetables as to what is happening - leaving them stranded, out of their homes. OnTheWight sought to find answers for them.
The road closure will remain in place until Island Roads are advised by the council what actions they are taking to ensure that it is safe to re-open the road.
Allan told OnTheWight that although the landslip didn't look too serious from the photos, it was expected to be across the path of the road by the end of the night.
It's not just the residents that are confused as to why large solid hoardings have been erected, instead of the see-through fencing used everywhere else on site.
With the heavy rains of January still to work its way through the rock of the Undercliff, who knows what this road will look like in a few weeks time. Our thoughts are with the families who continue to be affected by the devastating landslip.
The council has, since the recent landslide at Undercliff Drive, issued a blanket media ban in the area, stopping the taking of photos of the continuing movement. OnTheWight gained access. Here are the photos.
