Do you want to get back on your bike and onto the road again? Cycling is a great, fun way to get around and is great for fitness, health and well being.
As the weather edges its way towards sunnier times, and the price of petrol climbs upwards, there has never been a better time to dust off your bike and get back into the saddle.
Beginners or refreshers
If you are daunted by the prospect of getting your two wheels spinning again, or if you would just like a quick refresher course to get you up to speed, we have just the thing to help you.
The Carisbrooke Schools Sports Partnership are offering reluctant adult riders one- on-one Cycling Confidence Courses as part of the Earl Mountbatten Hospice’s celebration of National Bike Week (18th – 26th June).
These courses will be conducted by trained professionals in your home area, and will give you the necessary assurance, skills and confidence you need to get back on the road.
These courses are suitable for everyone, from absolute beginners who want to start biking, to rusty old pros who just need a helping hard getting back up to speed.
Get booked up
The courses will start during National Bike Week from Sunday 19th June and carry on until you’re confident on two wheels. Each course is tailored to your individual needs and skill level.
All you have to do is download the relevant forms from the Hospice website outlining what your needs are, then you simply return it to: Cycling Confidence Course, Earl Mountbatten Hospice Fundraising, Halberry Lane, Newport, PO30 2ER.
The suggested minimum donation for all courses is £15. If you would like more information about this excellent scheme please give Hospice Fundraising a call on (01983) 528989 or email [email protected]
