Isle of Wight Conservative MP, Andrew Turner, has a new agent for the 2015 Election.
At the beginning of January, Mr Turner lost both his agent and campaign manager.
Both have now been replaced, the latest addition to the team being David Walter from Wellow as his election agent.
You might recognise David Walter’s name from when he stood as a parish councillor in Shalfleet last year.
He wasn’t able to gain enough votes to take one of the three vacant seats, but has remained actively involved in attending parish and Isle of Wight council meetings.
David has clearly been preparing for the position, as he was even at the launch of the IW Liberal Democrat’s election campaign last week and even the school consultation meetings.

*Some news from me:* Andrew Turner MP has asked me to be his Election Agent for the forthcoming General Election. I was honoured and delighted to accept Andrew’s invitation — though, I confess, a little daunted at first. I am going to keep the blog and my local parish interest completely apolitical.
I hope to see you on Wednesday at the Parish Council meeting and at the Horse and Groom on Saturday, from 12 noon.
Best wishes,
David Walter
PS: If you are interested in helping Andrew’s team please let me know. General Election teams are pretty exciting places and only happen every five years. It’s a great way to extend your circle of friends locally and across the Island as well as being an opportunity to help the democratic process. It’s not just canvassing we are looking for, there is lots to be done indoors and out, in the office, from home, on the phone or face to face.
