Who can forget The Telegraph and their publishing of the MPs expenses?
The paper even focused on Andrew Turner for a day.
Given the public reaction, Parliament had to do something to ensure that subject could never again become such a controversial topic.
The result was the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA). Last week they published the details of the amount of money that MPs have claimed in this current financial year 2010-11.
Andrew Turner’s details
The Island’s MP, Andrew Turner, has his listed alongside all other MPs, so we’ve extracted them from the IPSA site and placed them below so you can – if you have the inclination – look at them.
The Summary? He claimed and was paid £6,189.23 between 7 May and 31 August.
