Given the public reaction, Parliament had to do something to ensure that subject could never again become such a controversial topic.
The result was the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA). Last week they published the details of the amount of money that MPs have claimed in this current financial year 2010-11.

The Summary? He claimed and was paid £6,189.23 between 7 May and 31 August.
