ENL league leaders Wightlink Raiders made it seven away wins out of 10 so far this season with another emphatic road win on Saturday away to Bristol Pitbulls.
The 10-3 win for Jeremy Cornish’s team also stretches their unbeaten run to seven matches.
It was a far from epic performance from the Raiders but it’s proof of how far the team have come this season that they still managed to cruise to an easy victory.
Robbie Brown opened the scoring early in the game and went on to score two more goals before the end. Jason Gorrie and Stewart Tait also scored twice each with captain Damon Larter, Nathan Taylor and Alex Murray completing the rout.
Sunday action
In yesterday’s matches Bristol themselves picked up two vital points to pull away from bottom club Swindon, while Invicta and Chelmsford kept up the pressure on the league leaders with wins against Milton Keynes and Streatham respectively.
Coming fixture
This weekend is the last league action of 2010 for the Raiders with the visit to Ryde Arena of basement club Swindon on Saturday and then a trip to London to face Streatham on Sunday.
