Update: Great news that Mr Brown was found in the Shanklin area this afternoon. He has been
taken to hospital as a precaution.
Police are appealing for information about the whereabouts of a vulnerable missing man on the Isle of Wight.
Officers are concerned for the welfare of 75-year-old Christopher Brown, of Sandown Road, Sandown, Isle of Wight.
He was last seen at 3.00pm yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, December 10) walking along The Broadway, Sandown in the direction of Avenue Road.
Police officers and specialist units are carrying out air and land searches on the eastern side of the island.
Mr Brown is known to go for walks along the coast at Shanklin and Sandown, and on the footpath between Adgestone and Brading.
He suffers from ill health, and is known to walk with a stoop, and a walking stick.
Christopher Brown is described as:

He was last seen wearing:
