Arreton Cricket Club to host End of Summer Fair and Dog Show at Goddards Brewery

Last updated:

Arreton Cricket Club invites Islanders to Goddards Brewery for its End of Summer Fair and Dog Show on Saturday 12th September 2026.

Doors open at 11am and the fun runs until 3pm.

Families won’t have to pay a penny to get in, as organisers have kept entry completely free.

A packed programme awaits visitors
Live music will fill the air throughout the afternoon. Face painters will transform children into tigers, butterflies and superheroes at no extra cost.

Character appearances and entertainers will keep younger visitors entertained between activities. A hook-a-duck game and other classic fairground favourites will test hand-eye coordination.

The cricket club will fire up the BBQ, so hungry visitors can grab a bite without leaving the grounds.

Anyone feeling lucky can pick up a raffle ticket and try their hand at winning a prize.

Dogs take centre stage
Dog owners across the Island can bring their pooches along for the fun dog show, which kicks off at midday.

Jan Andrews from the Isle of Wight Canine Association will judge the show and hand out rosettes.

Every dog that enters will receive a rosette, regardless of how they place.

Categories will include Best Handler, Best Male, Best Bitch, Waggiest Tail, Best Pedigree and Best Rescue, so owners of mixed breeds and pedigrees alike stand a chance of taking home a prize.

Entry costs just £2 per dog, and organisers stress that the show welcomes everyone, whether you own a champion show dog or a scruffy rescue mutt.

Plan your day out
Goddards Brewery in Arreton will host the whole event, giving visitors a relaxed, open-air setting to enjoy.

Organisers describe the day as “fun for all the family”, and the packed schedule certainly backs that claim up.

Whether you fancy watching the dog show, letting the kids loose on the games, or simply soaking up some live music with a burger in hand, Arreton Cricket Club has built an afternoon for everyone.

Mark your calendar for Saturday 12th September and head to Goddards Brewery from 11am.
