Aspire Ryde launches winter fundraising campaign to support vulnerable Isle of Wight families

Aspire Ryde has launched its Winter Fundraising Campaign to support individuals and families across the Isle of Wight who are struggling with the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

This year, the charity is delighted to announce that the Aviva Community Fund will match every donation – pound for pound – up to £250 per donation, doubling the impact of every contribution.

Johnson: No one should have to choose between heating and eating
Steve Johnson, Deputy CEO of Aspire Ryde, said,

“No one should have to choose between heating and eating or face Christmas alone.

“We’re passionate about building a stronger, more connected community where everyone feels valued, supported, and able to reach their full potential.”

Supporting vulnerable residents
The campaign will provide Christmas hampers, frozen meals, and ‘Bags of Warmth’ to vulnerable residents, while also helping people take control of their wellbeing and finances.

Everyone who receives support will be invited to a one-to-one session with an experienced staff member or fully trained volunteer for personalised advice on budgeting, benefits, and access to further training and wellbeing opportunities.

Directly helping those in need
Funds raised will go directly towards providing essential items and guidance to those most in need.

Aspire Ryde is calling on the community to get behind the campaign and donate via its Crowdfunder page.

Aspire will also be promoting the campaign across local radio, newspapers, and social media, encouraging the whole Island community to come together and make a lasting difference this winter.
