You know how Bestival always have a secret act each year? One to make you go oooo and ahhhhhh.
Well, this year’s icing on the cake was planned to be the Beastie Boys, who were returning after ruling at Bestival 2007 – when they said “There’s a reason it’s called Bestival.”
To everyone’s sadness, Beastie Adam Yauch has been struck down with cancer, so the Beasties won’t be coming to Bestival, although it might be a good idea to visit the Isle anyway for a little R&R after his operation.
With the Beasties out of the frame, there’s a gap waiting to be filled. Any guesses as to who it might be?
