Bembridge Airfield Under New Management

News reaches us that Bembridge Airfield will be reopening tomorrow (Saturday 9th April) under new management.

The airfield remains an unlicensed airfield but will now be managed by the Vectis Gliding Club Ltd (VGC).

It won’t be returning to the same service prior to its closure in January, but visiting aircraft are welcome to land so long as they have organised Prior Permission (PPR).

This can be obtained by telephoning 07770 228 852.

The gliding club make use of the airfield Wednesdays (BST), Saturdays and Sundays, as well as Bank holidays weather permitting.

Full information on using the airfield can be found on the Vectis Gliding Club website.
