This Thursday night sees an eclectic range of bands battle it out for the coveted opening slot of Bestival 2009.
Bestival head honcho, Rob da Bank has been busy checking out all the entries and last week made his decision on who made it into the finals.
The selection is certainly diverse and features the genius behind one of our favourite tracks on Transitions Vol 2, Big Sam The One Man Band (pictured).
Also appearing on stage will be Flipington, Catfish Jon, Arcade Eden and Valentine Gray.
Hoping to cause a stir with their choice of vinyl will be DJs; King George, Parish Councillor (yes she really is one), Tom Blackwell as well as double acts Evil Elf & Hazilla and DJ Jakey Chan & DJ Willz of Steel.
It’s a free event and open to over 14s (who come with a responsible adult).
Doors close at midnight.
