1,300 homes in Binstead, Ryde and Wootton Bridge lost their electricity supply just before eleven this morning.
VB got in touch with Scottish & Southern Energy, the electricity provider, who said it was down to a technical hitch on an overhead line.
Most back up in 30 mins
Happily nearly all of those people got their power back within 30 mins, as they were able to re-route around the network.
Six households in Wootton still had problems that required the emergency engineers to replace some equipment.
