A marine workshop takes place at Bembridge on the morning of Saturday 3rd October 2026 for 16 to 35-year-olds from 9.30am to 2pm.
Marine biologist Theo Vickers hosts a practical beach session to explore the rockpools and the marine biodiversity living in them.
An interactive workshop follows, run by Isle of Wight Biosphere Youth Representative Lauren Rawcliffe and Caitlin Woombes, marine engagement officer at Cornwall Wildlife Trust.
Free to attend, with light refreshments.
Shaping the South Coast Marine Recovery project
The workshop forms part of the new South Coast Marine Recovery project. That project is still in development, so young people get the chance to share their ideas while plans take shape.
Lauren Rawcliffe put the workshop together with the Wildlife Trusts and Theo Vickers.

Bat walk for 18 to 35-year-olds
The weekend after, the Isle of Wight Biosphere Hub hosts an event called Wild Night Out.
The hub is a new community group for young people aged 18 to 35.
The Wild Night Out centres on a bat walk at Calbourne Water Mill from 7pm to 9pm on Saturday 10th October 2026.
Organisers describe it as a relaxed evening with no pressure, where people can chat and find out more.
