Brave Island opportunity for backstage tour of Disney’s The Lion King – And more

Interested in a career in theatre? Brave Island has organised a special free visit to TheatreCraft in London, an annual event which takes place at the Royal Opera House and in theatres across the West End, where you can learn new skills, network with industry professionals, and discover all sorts of off-stage roles.

Backstage tour of the Lion King
You’ll be taking part in an exciting backstage tour of the Lyceum Theatre, home to Disney’s The Lion King. You’ll see how the costumes are maintained, where the masks and puppets are created, and explore what it takes to bring this award-winning musical to life on stage.

You’ll also be joining two workshops at the Royal Opera House to learn about stage management and set flying and automation.

Explore the Marketplace
There will also be time for you to explore the main Marketplace where there will be over 70 exhibitors including drama schools, theatres, and other industry employers.

Discover what they’re looking for, learn about upcoming opportunities, and gain insights into various theatre careers.

Get permission before applying
If you are at school or college, please speak to your teacher about attending this opportunity as it is a great way to find out about further education and training opportunities, so they may be able to allow you to miss a day to attend – but please make sure it is approved.

Head over to the Brave Island website to sign up.
