Brian Clarke Speaks At Cafe Scientifique Tonight

The sixth Cafe Scientifique meeting is being held tonight.

The speaker will be Brian Clarke who works at the University of Surrey in the Centre for Environmental Health and Engineering.

He will be talking about ‘Water Aid’.

Brian worked for many years in the water industry and became very interested in the problem of how you deliver a supply of continuous clean water to people in a disaster area where there is no infrastructure.

As a result of his research into the problem he has founded a Master of Science degree course in the subject at the University of Surrey.

Cafe Scientifique evenings are free, but it is customary to ask participants at the end of the evening for a donation towards the cost of the speaker’s meal and/or travel expenses.

As usual the meeting takes place at Fighting Cocks pub in Arreton, 7pm start.
