Brightbulb kicks off annual Mince Pie Marathon for the Wight Brainy Bunch

Brightbulb has launched their annual charity event in support of the Wight Brainy Bunch.

The beloved Mince Pie Marathon returns to spread festive cheer—and delicious mince pies—across the Island to both businesses and residents.

Raised nearly £25,000 for charity
Over the years, the event has raised nearly £25,000 for charity, with the Brightbulb team and sponsors delivering thousands of pre-ordered mince pies, all in a single marathon day. Businesses and residents alike eagerly compete to top the Mince Pie Marathon leaderboard displayed on the event website.

This year, Brightbulb is joined by headline sponsor Yokogawa Marex, a global leader in software solutions based in Cowes, alongside key partners Raven Print and Wight Productions. Together, they’re working to make this the largest and most mouth-watering event yet.

Jeffery: We’re aiming to make this year’s event bigger and better than ever
Brightbulb Managing Director, Matt Jeffery, shared his excitement,

“Halloween is over, so it’s time to put on our Christmas hats and celebrate the magic of the mince pie once more. This event means so much to us and to the charity.

“We’re especially proud this year, having received a prestigious national culture award for our efforts with the event.

“With that motivation, we’re aiming to make this year’s event bigger and better than ever.”

Over the past few years, funds raised from the initiative have supported local families affected by brain tumours, helping cover costs for cognitive rehabilitation therapy, counselling, transportation for radiotherapy, and small grants to help with lost wages.
