The Shanklin Carnival returns this Wednesday with the children’s carnival taking place at 2pm and evening parade kicking off at 7pm.
Southern Vectis has been in touch to share details of bus diversions during the evening event.
Bus diversions
The 18:43, 19:13 & 19:43 departures from Ventnor, Boots will divert from line of route at Trinity Church and operate via St. Boniface Road, Mitchell Avenue and retrace Route 3 to Whiteley Bank.
Thence via Route 2 to Victoria Avenue, Shanklin, left into St. Johns Road, (the width restriction will be suspended), Brook Road, Collingwood Road to line of route at Landguard Road.
The 19:19 and 19:49 departures from Shanklin, Co-op towards Ventnor are to divert from line of route at Brook Road, Shanklin and operate the above diversion route in reverse order.
Routes 3 toward and from Ryde should use Green lane and Cemetery Road in both directions whilst the procession is in progress
