Just because it’s nearly Christmas doesn’t mean a light workload for Isle of Wight Councillors.
Today’s Planning Committee is expected to result in a packed public gallery as some contentious applications are considered.
Conditional permission is being recommended for the large housing development planned for the Pan Estate.
Readers may remember complaints that the application had been rushed through the planning process.
Also coming up today is the recommendation of conditional permission for the development of sheltered housing in Bellevue Road, Ryde.
Also being discussed is the removal of a planning condition for Newclose County Cricket Ground and refusal is being recommended by officers for a revised application for development next to St Catherine’s School in Ventnor.
The committee starts at 4pm sharp at County Hall – see the agenda for full details.
