Yesterday evening saw the closing night of the 8th Yarbridge Inn Beer Festival and the award ceremony for the Isle of Wight CamRA (Campaign for Real Ale) Pub and Beer of the Year Awards.
Presenting the awards on behalf of IW CamRA chairman John Nicholson and IW Radio personality John Hannam.
For the fourth year in a row, the Pub of the Year Award went to The Yarbridge Inn in Brading.
We caught up with Paul Jenner who has been running the pub with his Wife Sharon for the last six and a half years to find out how it felt being nominated and awarded once again.
They have put on over 2,500 different ales at the pub in that time and this is surely one reason why they were nominated by members of the Isle of Wight division of CamRA (Campaign for Real Ale).
Paul has lots more to say on self control, the future of pubs and real ale on the Isle of Wight, so grab yourself a cuppa and put your feet up for five minutes. [audio:http://otw-audio.s3.amazonaws.com/paul-jenner-yarbridge-inn.mp3]
