The Isle of Wight features on national television again tonight on Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.
Former-Islander, actress Sheila Hancock, was joined by Sandi Toksvig as they whizzed around the Island filming for the celebrity version of the antiques programme.
You might remember that we reported about the visit earlier in the year.
John from Shanklin Collectors Centre (who you may have seen on the recent Antiques Road Trip) tells On The Wight that Sheila “was lovely and chatty, trying on the rings in the window and a silver belt”.
He went on to say that Sandi, “was great, very witty but also very knowledgeable with antiques”.
Experts on the show were Phillip Serrell and the late David Barby (who passed away after making the show).
John says of David, “He was charming and stood cleaning a set of pipes with a duster and brass cleaner.”
The programme will be aired tonight (Thursday 15th November) on BBC2 7pm.
