The countdown is on for the Island’s most prestigious awards. The Island’s business community celebrates its success at the annual IW Chamber Business Awards. Don’t miss the deadline to submit your entry!
The awards are open to any Isle of Wight business. You don’t have to be a Chamber member. All entries must be received by close of play on 31st January.
Holbrook: If you’ve never submitted before, this could be your year
Chamber CEO Steven Holbrook, says,
“Every year these awards are hotly contested.
“Winning isn’t easy and it’s a thrill each year to see so many brilliant entries, marking the achievements of the exceptional businesses that are based on the Island. We know that 2024 will be no different.
“Right now though, there really is everything to play for. We’re bracing ourselves for the traditional flood of entries, just before the deadline! There’s always an element of unpredictability with the awards, which is why you shouldn’t make any assumptions.
“The best advice I can give any business is simply to enter. If you’ve never submitted before, this could be your year.”
An impartial, independent judging panel
Presented at Cowes Yacht Haven on 10th May, and sponsored once again by WightFibre, the Island’s most prestigious awards are judged by an impartial, independent judging panel.
There are 16 categories including the brand new Creative Impact Award. The Hospitality Business of the year category is also now joined by the Tourism and Leisure Award.
Holbrook: It’s a brilliant opportunity to tell your story and share your success
Steven Holbrook explains,
“Our panel of independent judges is based on the Island, on the mainland and internationally.
“Businesses will be judged on their year and on their submission, by a panel of impartial business experts. It’s a brilliant opportunity to tell your story and share your success.
“The clock really is ticking now. The deadline is just days away and – as ever- it won’t move. There will be no extensions and all entries must be received on time. Writing an awards entry can’t be rushed either. If you know you want to enter but you haven’t started your submission yet, I would urge you to do so as soon as possible. Don’t miss out!”
Irvine: The Awards get bigger and better every year
WightFibre CEO John Irvine adds,
“WightFibre is delighted to support the Chamber in making the Chamber Business Awards THE highlight of the Island business calendar.
“This is the third year of our sponsorship and the Awards get bigger and better every year. The team at WightFibre encourages all business large and small to enter. You’ve got to be in it to win it!”
