Yes, that’s right, Niton’s own, The Motion Pictures will be playing a very special gig on Friday at the Buddle. It’s aim is to raise funds for sibling Gardner to travel to Chile and work with disadvantaged kids for the next few years. A charitable cause, I’m sure you’ll agree.
They’ll be spinning a few tunes whilst setting up and playing alongside Ollie Ducie from Ryde, who succeeded in totally embarassing me last time I saw him play, by dedicating all his love songs to myself and my (gay male) best friend, as he thought we looked ‘so in love’. I’ve forgiven him now though and look forward to catching more of his charisma on home ground (apparently he used to play in Kody too).
Also playing is Niton’s resident folk grandmaster Alan Ramsdale-Capper, who’ll be ‘strumming a few tunes on his geetar’.
It’s not a ticketed event, they’re just asking for donations.
Sounds like a great night of excellent music, superb company and hopefully lots of fund raising.
