We love this fantastic video, shot on the prison estate in 1976, of teenagers showing off their skateboardings skills.
The footage features teens of all ages – pretty much all male – showing off their skateboarding skills in the street with a simple make-shift ramp and obstacle course.
Some of the riders are named at the beginning of the video, others not, so let us know if you recognise yourself or anyone else.
We love the obstacle course of the drinks cans down the road and reckon there surely must be a few outtakes worthy of £250 on You’ve Been Framed.
A great slice of skateboarding history
The footage is not only a great slice of skateboarding history, but also one of fashion and culture.
Check out those flares and see if you can identify any of the various soft drinks cans in the second half of the footage.
Big up Simon Cooper for posting this brilliant skateboarding video to YouTube and John Cattle from Wight Trash for sharing it on Facebook today.
