Southampton sculptor, Chris Cudlip, had a month long ‘artist in residency’ at Quay Arts recently.
During that time, he worked within the Medina Yurt which had been set-up at the Learning Curve Gallery at Quay Arts, carrying out loads of workshops with schools and other groups.
Saturday just past was his last day and to celebrate he performed a shadow puppet show, playing his banjo while making one of the puppets (made by students), controlled by tapping his foot, dance around.
We shot a little bit of video (on a mobile) from outside the Yurt to give you an idea of what it was like there.
