Thanks to Kev for sharing details of this important appeal to help the Isle of Wight homeless. Ed
Every year homeless people on the Isle of Wight are sleeping in the cold, watching people happily passing by with their Christmas shopping.
Let’s bring a bit of happiness to them too. Fill a box with some of the suggested items and put a smile on their faces.
The Open Arms Project, The Salvation Army and the Christian Respite Centre will all be involved in distributing the shoe boxes.
Suggested items
- Hats
- Scarves
- Socks
- Gloves
- Toothpaste
- Toothbrush
- Baby wipes
- Comb
- Shower gel
- Sanitary towels
- Sweets
Extra if you can
- A torch
- Blanket
- Jumpers
- Thermals
- Maybe even something personal like a card
If you’d like to decorate the box, wrap the lid and base separately in Christmas paper then seal with a rubber band.
