Historic England has awarded an Isle of Wight teenager the Best Contribution to a Heritage Project by Young People Award for his work to save the Frank James Hospital on the Isle of Wight.
Despite many medical conditions affecting his mobility and strength, Ian Gregory has cycled over 3,500 miles this year to raise over £4,500 for Prostate Cancer UK. He was presented with the coveted Yellow Jersey at the cheque presentation in London this week.
16 Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) participants, leaders and parents worked with Isle of Wight artist Tony Trowbridge to create a mural in Freshwater expressing what the Island and DofE mean to them.
