Thanks to Dave Rudman at Hursts in Ventnor for alerting us and VB readers to a possible counterfeit scam.
Dave told us, “I’d like to warn people of the possibility that there are fake £50 notes in circulation.
“We had two customers in a row produce them, but both found alternate funding when we reached for a counterfeit pen.”
He went on to say, “It may be nothing in it but be vigilant.”
