Cowes Car Parking Yearly Permit To Cost £900

We don’t like to be the bearer of bad news, but if you thought paying £500 a year to park in a long-stay car park in Cowes was expensive, make sure you’re sitting down before reading on.

Park Road Cowes Car Park Charges RevealedLast week we reported that the Trustees of Northwood House had decided to end the contract with the Isle of Wight council for car parking services.

Instead, they’ve entered into business with Euro Car Parks.

Details have now been released (thanks Jamie and GG for alerting us to this) of the new charges for parking in the Park Road car park adjacent to Northwood House.

New permit prices
The cost of the permits are pretty surprising.

  • An annual permit will set you back £900
  • A quarterly permit is £250
  • A monthly permit is £100.

If you already have a parking permit, it will no longer be accepted after 12th November, but you can buy a special permit from ECP which runs from 13th November to 31st January 2011 for £190.

Permits will be limited, so if you need to get one, better do it soon.

Pay as you go
In addition, prices for pay as you go are detailed below. We’re not sure whether they’re any different to the current prices.

More information can be found on the Northwood House Website.
