Rising from the ashes of the devastating fire in Cowes at the beginning of the year, and celebrating 120 years, the Cowes Carnival float is back.
Through hard work, dedication and generous donations, the float has been making its way around the Isle of Wight over the summer, picking up prizes along the way.
You can see the new float taking pride of place on Saturday night at the Cowes Illuminated Carnival (details below).

Please come out and support us, or if you are brave enough put on a costume and come and join our procession.
We have the fantastic Shademakers (formally Mas Fusion), the hilarious Ventnor Comic Jazz Band. The first time back in Cowes for over 25 years.
They will be joining our procession at the Duke of York.
The brilliant float and costumes of Ghostbusters, plus Wight Diamonds Marching Band, Vectis Drums and a Scottish Piper & Drummer.
Where and when
The illuminated carnival takes place on Saturday 27th August at 9pm. Starting at Crossfield Avenue, then Parklands Avenue, Park Road, Victoria Road, Mill Hill Road, Birmingham Road, Shooters Hill, High Street, Bath Road and finish on the Parade.
