Daisy Ring Bus highlights community spirit with charity single

The chair of Daisy Ring Bus CIC is urging Islanders to listen to a new charity single released in support of the community transport service.

Daisy Ring Bus is a community-run service that keeps cancer patients travelling to Southampton or Portsmouth for vital hospital treatment on the road.

A song about leaning on each other
The single, titled “Lean on Me”, features vocals from Anna Newton and production by Guy of Mustard Studios.

Chair Michele Le Quesne Newton says the charity believes no one should face life’s challenges alone. She describes the song as a heartfelt gift, created in support of the charity, and says its message felt immediately resonant. She says,

“The song is about trust, reassurance, and being there for one another when life feels heavy.”

Values at the heart of the charity
Michele says that from the moment she first heard the track, its message aligned deeply with the values at the heart of Daisy Ring Bus.

She expresses gratitude to Anna – her daughter – for lending her music to the cause and for helping raise awareness of the daily support the charity provides across the community.

How to listen and donate
Michele is urging people to make “Lean on Me” their song of the day. She adds,

“If you need the reminder – it’s okay to lean on others.”

To support the service, people can make a donation via the Daisy Ring Bus website.
