Don’t forget that tonight sees the return of The Ventnor Film Society to the Winter Gardens.
Tonights offering is Days of Glory, a powerful film which sets out to show how members of L’Armée de l’Afrique were used, exploited, humiliated and then cast aside.
The film tells the almost forgotten story of the gallant sacrifice made by native African troops, who gave their lives for a motherland most had never seen.
It may be wet and windy outside, but it’s warm and cosy in the Winter Gardens. You can also take drinks from the bar into the hall to enjoy throughout the film.
As usual, curtains up at 7.30pm. Tickets: £4.50 (£3.50 conc)
