Unless you are a Ventnorian who regularly reads the town noticeboard by the central car park or perhaps someone who scours the back pages of the County Press for official notices, you might not have realised that there is a town council election coming up in St Lawrence next month.
Yes folks, due to Doug Nettleton’s recent resignation, there’s a spare seat around the Town Council table at the moment.
The official notices went out last week and candidates have until noon this Friday to send in their applications.
If you’re interested in getting involved, then get in touch with either Tina Bailey, the Ventnor Town Clerk (t: 855 162) or the Returning Officer at County Hall (t: 821000).
