A decision has been made, but who’s involved is still unclear.
The delegated decision by Cllr George Brown – Deputy Leader of the Council & Cabinet Member for the Economy, Tourism, Leisure and Planning about the land near the Newport Football Ground has been made.
Which company / shop /supermarket it is remain shrouded in mystery.
All that we know it that, “the bid made by Party 1 for Plot A be accepted.” Plot A is the largest parcel of land.
We also now know that Plot B (quite small) will “be retained until the cost analysis of drainage proposals has been assessed and remarket if appropriate.”
Rumours are circulating as to who Party 1 might be. We’ve asked the council for confirmation, and are awaiting a response.
