Ventnor Fringe Festival is well underway, celebrating its 15th year.
The overcast and wet weather yesterday (Saturday) did not dampen spirits, with dozens on fantastic shows brightening up festival goers.
One of our highlights on Saturday was the incredible show called The Guy In The Luggage Rack by She Said Jump. This aerial comedy about grief, memory and relationship touched the hearts of so many on the putting green.
Something for everyone
Monday brings with it a chance for all those involved in the organisation of this ever-growing festival to take a beat. There are no live shows, although the art exhibitions are still open and welcoming visitors.
This includes art_house_life at 35 Madeira Road (having popped in today for a nosey can highly recommend it), 27 and 38A Madeira Road (not had a chance to check it out yet, but it’s on the list), ‘Place of Safety’ by Kathy Williams at La Falaise Car Park and Peer Street Studios.
Book now
There are still 100s of performances to catch before the festival finishes on Sunday 28th July, so check out the Ventnor Fringe website or pop into Ventnor Exchange at 11 Church Street, Ventnor to find out more.
As well as ticketed events, there are plenty of Free Fringe events too, as well as street food and traders, workshops and Family Fringe and more.
Park and ride shuttle bus
Don’t forget that if you are coming from outside Ventnor, a park and ride at the Rugby Club has been organised by Ventnor Fringe. You can park for £5 per day in the Rugby Club and catch the shuttle bus to all the venues.
A shuttle bus pass for the ten days costs £20 and you can travel as much as you like every day on the bus. Alternatively pay £2 per journey.
You don’t have to use the parking facilities to use the bus around the town.
