Thursday 25th January sees the next Carisbrooke Castle Museum talk. Kevin Shaw returns to the Castle Museum to present ‘Spectacular Political Corruption Illustrated and Explained’.
Using Yarmouth and Newtown as examples, this fully illustrated talk reveals the amazingly corrupt methods of ‘election’ which once existed nationally – whereby for centuries the Isle of Wight sent six MPs to Parliament, while huge new cities like Manchester and Birmingham had none.

Tickets cost £5 and advance booking is essential.
The gates will be open from 10.30-10.50am with the talk starting at 11am.
Access requirements
While access to the lower gallery displays is step-free, access to the upper galleries and exhibitions is via a staircase.
