Make sure you put this one in your diaries for Sunday evening.
On Sunday 2nd January, Paul Armfield, known to many for his musical career and to others as manager of Waterstone’s in Newport, will be shaving off his infamous long hair and beard.
The reason for this bold act?
He’s hoping to raise £2,000 for the Bhopal Medical Appeal.
It’s a charity close to his heart, that helps those who continue to be affected by the devastating chemical leak that took place in India almost 26 years ago.
We chatted with Paul last month about his decision and what it means to him (listen to podcast).
The event which also includes live music for various musicians will take place at the Bargeman’s Rest in Newport Quay.
Come along and watch the beard and hair being shaved off.
If you can’t make it along on Sunday, you can donate through his Just Giving page.
