The Wessex and Dart Branch of the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society is holding its annual Isle of Wight Meeting on Saturday 1st April at East Cowes Town Hall from 2pm.

The guest speaker will be the Managing Director of Waverley Excursions, Paul Semple, who is travelling from Glasgow to be with us. Paul’s talk is entitled Operating Paddle Steamer Waverley beyond her 75th Anniversary.

Returned after four-year gap
Waverley made a very successful return visit to the Solent last September, after a gap of four years. Many of Waverley‘s sailings from Yarmouth Pier were sold out. The steamer is scheduled to return to the Solent again from 1st-21st September this year.

Free entry
All are welcome to the event.

There is no entry charge and there’ll be refreshments – teas, coffees and cakes – available during the afternoon.
