Here’s one for all the horticulturists out there (and car boot fair fans).
According to the BBC, Bedford Police discovered that an elderly couple in their area had managed to cultivate one of the largest known (to them) cannabis plants.
The couple apparently bought the plant at a car boot fair thinking it was a shrub. They lovingly cared for it in their garden and the result is this incredible example above.
The plant came to the attention of the media when Bedford Police tweeted, “Seized today. Elderly couple bought shrub at car boot sale, tended carefully – biggest cannabis plant we had seen!!”
Given their innocence in the matter, Police say no charges will be pressed against the couple.
